What is a Running Jacket?

Running jackets are jackets specifically designed to provide support for runners. They vary in size and are usually made of lightweight material.

Jackets made out of cotton are not good running jackets. They are not good running jackets because cotton soaks up sweat as you run, it retains this moisture, which makes it heavy and wet during exercise. If you choose to wear a cotton jacket while running, wear a jacket that is made out of lightweight cotton.

Finding a Running Jacket that is Best for You

The first step in finding a running jacket that suits you is to determine your needs. For example, if you plan to run mostly before dawn of after dusk, you probably need a jacket with reflective patches. If you plan to run in wet weather, you probably need a jacket that is water resistant.

Once you determine your needs, you can start looking for a jacket that best suits you.

Make sure you try on different sizes, brands, and models.
