My Heart, I'm 28 years old. In October, 1993, I found out that I had something wrong with my heart. After tests, the doctor's found a hole in my heart. At that time, they didn't know how big or how bad it was. I had to go in for more tests. The doctor's said the left side of my heart was enlarged, and the hole was very bad. The next day I was in surgery. That surgery was 7 hours long. The doctor's told me that they didn't know how I had lived 19 year's of my life with a hole bigger than the size of a half dollar in my heart. The nurses and doctor's at the hospital, said I was a miracle child. To this day, I live with chest pain. The doctor's say's the chest pain is stress. I still have not heard of anyone else with this big of a hole in their heart. I just wish in 1974, when I was born, the doctor's would have found it then. Thank You, D.B.
