I Was A Swimmer

I was at the age of 9 when I got anorexia nervosa and after a while, I developed bulimia nervosa.

Before all of this, I was a swimmer and I loved to run around and go crazy to music. I played the piano and got an A+ in my exam. I did 5 hours of dance a week, but then my life began to crumble.

I cried every day and got lots of anxiety. I hardly ate anything and I had an addiction of exercising. I was admitted into the hospital but I continued to refuse to eat.

They put a nasalgastric tube down my throat on both of my hospital trips. I was seriously dehydrated. I was given an IV pump at 2:30 in the morning.

I began vomiting and hiding food. After staying in the hospital for a number of weeks, I felt better and was released to go home.

I am now on the road to recovery, and all I want to say to all the beautiful women and men who suffer from Bulimia Nervosa, I hope you get better really soon and get on with your life!

Love L x
