Dinner and Champagne

Dozen Roses

I was 21 when I had my best date ever. My future boyfriend came to pick me up from my house around 5:30, and when he arrived, he had a dozen roses that he hand picked himself. He made me smile when he told me I was the prettiest woman he'd ever seen.

As he walked me out to the car, he opened up the car door for me and when I got in, he had my favorite love song playing. He knew my favorite song because I had told him the night before.

I didn't know what we were doing, or where we were going. We drove to the beach and took a long, romantic walk. After our walk, we headed out for dinner. While we drove to dinner, he was telling me how much he liked me and he knew I was going to be the prettiest woman at the restaurant.

When we got to the restaurant, he had already made reservations, so we just went straight to our seats. The waiter brought us a bottle of champaign and I was so surprised because I had never had champaign brought to me at a restaurant.

While we ate, my date looked me into my eyes and told me that he was really glad we had met and he wanted to take me out again, and I agreed. When we left, he drove me to my house and walked me up to my door. He gave me a kiss goodbye and left. That was the best date I've ever been on. Amy, Hawaii
