Mama's Kitchen Dilemmas



 

 

Thai Sweet Pork

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ lb pork loin, trimmed of fat and sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup fish sauce
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced

Directions:

  1. Wisk together the ingredients and pour them over top the pork in a baking dish.
  2. Bake in a 350-degree oven until the pork is tender and cooked.
Serves: 5 persons

 

 

 

Thai Kale and Pork

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ lbs of pork loin, sliced thinly
  • 1 tbsp of fish sauce
  • 5 cups of Kale, washed and chopped
  • 1 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of minced garlic
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp of lime juice
  • 3 tbsp of sesame oil
  • ½ can of coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp of sugar
  • 1 pack of rice noodles

Directions:

  1. Simmer the onion, lime juice, garlic, fish and soy sauces, sugar and kale in a deep pan for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients, except for the rice and summer for another 8 minutes.
  3. Add the rice noodles at the end and serve.

Serves: 5-6 persons

 

 

 

Thai Beef and Bell Pepper Sautee

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp of sugar
  • 5 scallions, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 lb of sirloin, sliced thinly
  • ½ can of coconut milk
  • 2 chilies, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • ½ cup of cilantro, chopped
  • ¼ cup of ginger, grated

Directions:

  1. Stir Fry all the ingredients in a wok.
  2. Add the beef and coconut milk last.
  3. Simmer until cooked well. Serve with rice.

Serves: 4 persons
