15 Tips for Better First-Time Sex Whether it is your first time to have sex or if you are about to sleep with a new partner, it is important to remember these steps for a better first time sex. You won’t remember your second or third time. But that first time will always be remembered, you’ll always do – whether it’s amazing sex or a total flop! The first-time sex can make or break you – as a couple, that is. Who would want to remember their first time as a sexual tragedy, right? Watch out for the right signals First-time sex can be a disaster if you are sending or receiving the wrong signals. You and your partner might have different expectations and see the relationship differently. Show your partner you are into him, if you truly are. Be receptive to his actions. Try to communicate as this is the most important in any relationship – sexual or not. Get protection There’s no better way than to have a first-time sex knowing you are both protected. You cannot possibly enjoy the entire sexual experience fearing of a possible sexually transmitted disease or an unwanted pregnancy. It is recommended that you use a condom as it can both prevent pregnancy and STDs. Though it is not 100% effective, it’s far better than having sex unprotected. Try to get to know about each other’s sexual histories. Do not expect for perfection Most frequently, the reason why most do not enjoy their first time is because they or their partners were not able to deliver the goods. You might have repeatedly played in your mind the perfect first-time sex setting but because you were too occupied, you have actually forgotten the essence of the entire act, resulting in frustrations. Remember that plans and situations do change. Go with the flow. Enjoy the spontaneity of the moment. There’s nothing more exciting than knowing more about your partner’s body. Deep breathe Having sex for the first time can be tense and nervous. Breathe in and breathe out to relax your body and your mind. Your brain needs sufficient oxygen supply to function right. Once breathing gets irregular, a lot of problems might set in, such as lightheadedness, headache and unconsciousness. It is such a shame if you don’t end up having sex at all. Set a regular pace of breathing. Don’t fake an orgasm Faking an orgasm is cheating yourself and your partner. This might create complications later on because you initially communicated the wrong information about what your body wants and needs to get turned on.
