Instead of using your spare room as an office or guest bedroom, create a relaxation room. A relaxation room can be a place to to to rid yourself of the stressors of the day.

  • Comfortable chair

  • Serene colors (be daring and paint the walls a soothing blue with white trim)

  • Foot massager
  • Massage chair
  • Pictures of nature or mellow artwork
  • Plants
  • Candles
  • Incense
  • Small heater or air conditioner
  • Door to close off the noise/distractions

Things not to put in the relaxation room:

  • Cellular phone
  • TV
  • Blackberry
  • Telephone
  • Computer
  • Fax machine
