Is a Wedding Planner Necessary?

A wedding planner is basically a person who acts as a consultant to help organize and plan a wedding. A wedding planner is a special type of consultant who is trained in a variety of areas of wedding planning- everything from wedding etiquette to proper execution of the events of the wedding day to making sure the bride’s makeup and hair are perfect. Well wedding planners have the inside track on the world of weddings and can help brides get in touch with the contacts they need to choose the right dress, buy the wedding flowers, etc.

The wedding planner is also the person who works closely with other wedding professionals or vendors to must sure even the smallest detail is properly taken care of. No job is too big or too small for a wedding planner. A wedding planner is trained to consider every detail of the wedding from start to finish.

A wedding planner can help make your dream wedding a reality and she can help you come up with ways to budget your money in order to make sure it stretches as far as it will go. The wedding planner can also act as a mediator when conflicts and disputes arise between family members or with friends in regards to a wedding. If a bridesmaid is upset about the color of the dresses or the style of dresses for the wedding a wedding planner can help her see the situation in a more pleasing light and she can also help calm fears on the part of the bride on the day of the wedding.

Is it absolutely necessary to have a wedding planner? No. Does a wedding planner make planning a wedding easier and more organized? Yes. A wedding planner is an expert at weddings after all while most regular folks only get married once in their lives and therefore are not experts at planning their own weddings. As well weddings are very personal affairs that involve lots of intimacy and emotion and it is hard to keep those elements out of wedding preparations for the bride and her bridal party. A wedding planner on the other hand is not emotionally wrapped up with any individuals involved and can therefore be impartial and can make sure that what needs to get done, does indeed get done.
