Ice cream and summer are almost synonymous at this point. Families across the nation can’t help but indulge in an after-dinner treat when the thermometer begins to rise. In fact, 87% of Americans will have ice cream stored in their freezer at any given time. At least, ice cream for humans anyway.

But providing healthy, affordable ice cream for your family members with fur is a little more difficult. While ice cream for dogs is nothing new, Aldi has taken it to the next level by offering their take on ice cream for dogs this summer.

Set to be released on June 26, Aldi will offer packages of Heart to Tail treats to cool down your furry friend in the hot summer sun. While it’s not technically ice cream since dairy and dogs don’t mix, this ice cream-inspired scoop will be sure to satisfy your dog when they bed for your own cone.

Each package reportedly contains four small tubs of ice cream for Fido running for only $3 per package in their store. So far, there are two flavors available: original and a cheese and bacon flavor. While we don’t know what original will taste like, some sites speculate it will be made after the classic biscuit flavor.

Best of all? It’s gluten-free and contain no artificial preservatives, making it healthier than most human ice cream options.

According to Delish, the treat will bereleased as an “Aldi Find,” making it a seasonal option, as reported by AOL. This means that we don’t know how long the product will be offered or whether or not it will be brought back to shelves next year.

The Aldi FAQ section explains the logic behind the Aldi Finds section:

“Aldi Finds are ordered months in advance and are intended to be on sale for a limited time,” writes the site. “With new Aldi Finds coming in every week, we have to sell them quickly to make room for the next exciting offers. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to predict which items will sell out faster, but we do our best to supply each store with sufficient stock of each product.”
