If you eat some fast acting carbohydrates and protein immediately after a workout session you’re going to find that the body recovers much more quickly since you’re providing the vital nutrients those tired muscles need.

Take A Hot Bath In The Evening
Third, taking a hot bath is another smart move if you want to decrease post-workout muscle soreness.

Not only will having a hot bath relax the muscles and help you feel better after that hard workout, but it will increase the blood flow to the tissues and help take away any by-products that cause the muscle soreness in the tissue in the first place.

Add Intensity Slowly
Finally, the last thing that you can do to prevent muscle soreness is to make sure that you do increase the intensity of the workout slowly.  Rather than diving in and trying something extremely challenging, build up to it.

It will be a smart move for most people to first perform the exercises they’re doing without any weight first in order to get a feeling for the movement. Then once you’re comfortable with that you can go about increasing the weight upwards to further challenge the body.
